Our Clear Adhesive Polyester Tape is a variation on our Yellow Polyester Film Tape with the one (obvious) difference being the colour.

Like the Yellow Film Tape, our Transparent Polyester Film Tape is largely used for electrical insulation applications and is thin, strong and very easy to work with.

Excellent Physical Properties.

Our Clear Adhesive Polyester Tape is thin and highly conformable. This allows it to be easily and smoothly applied around complex shapes such as coil knuckles or cable terminations.

This tape has a total thickness of 0.056mm. It also possesses good physical strength (>9kg/25mm tensile strength rating) and is low stretch (70% max. elongation).

It utilises an acrylic adhesive that is compatible with most surfaces, materials and substrates. Adhesion to steel rating is 0.6 to 1.5kg/25mm.

This clear polyester tape meets the flame retardancy requirements of UL Subject 510. It will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 130°C.

Electrical Insulation Attributes.

Polyester Tape is most commonly used for electrical insulation applications.  It has a dielectric breakdown rating of 5kV to 15kV.
