Gylon 3500 Pressure & Temperature Resistance.

Gylon Style 3500 has a maximum pressure rating of 1,200 psig, or 83 bar. It can also handle applications across a wide range of temperatures with a minimum of -268°C and a maximum of +260°C.

Like all gasket materials, maximum operating pressure and temperature and related. The closer the application temperature is to the maximum, the lower the maximum pressure rating. For more information on the relationship between these two factors, please refer to the Garlock Gylon Style 3500 Technical Data Sheet.

Gylon 3500 Chemical Resistance.

As a PTFE based gasket material, Gylon Style 3500 has exceptional resistance to many different types of chemicals and aggressive media. This gasket sheet resists attack from strong acids (except hydrofluoric), steam, solvents, hydrocarbons, chlorine and cryogenics. It is also suitable for use in sealing a wide range of less aggressive media such as water, sewage, natural gas & more.
