Description
- Economical short rolls of heat shrink.
- Will shrink down to half their original diameter when exposed to heat (2:1 shrink ratio)
- Tough and strong yet very flexible and easy to handle
- Flame retarded and self-extinguishing. UV stabilised and rated to 600 volts.
Our Heat Shrink Tubing Dispenser Packs are ideal for those of you who go through a bit of heat shrink but don’t want to buy the larger industrial rolls. Our Thin Wall Heat Shrink Tubing has a 2:1 shrink ratio which means 20mm diameter sleeving will shrink down to just 10mm when heated. It does not have any adhesive lining and is incredibly flexible and easy to handle.
Dispenser packs of Heat Shrink Tube are available in a huge selection of sizes and colours. The length of these handy rolls varies depending on the size of the sleeving (smaller sizes are in longer rolls). It should also be mentioned that even though these are the thin wall grade, they’re still incredibly tough and ideal for protecting cable joins from abrasion. They’ll shrink when exposed to temperatures of just 90°C and, once shrunk tolerate temperatures of up to 125°C and are UV stabilised, flame retardant and self-extinguishing (except for clear).
Please note this style of heat shrink tubing is not adhesive lined. The sizes listed on this page are their pre-shrunk size (i.e. 10mm listed here will shrink to 5mm).
Out Thin Wall Heat Shrink meets ROHS Compliance (except Green and Yellow) and has been tested in accordance with a variety of international standards. More information on these technical attributes is available on the specifications tab.
This is just one size and colour in our large range of heat shrink tubing and insulation parts. To browse the full range, please click any of the links on the rigth.

Heat Shrink Tube FAQ's
How will I know when it’s stopped shrinking?
There’s no real way to tell other than direct observation.
How long does it take to shrink?
Technically, it depends on the degree of heat applied. That said, we’re guessing you’re after a general answer. In that case we can safely say that it’s seconds, not hours. If you can’t see it shrinking it’s either because it has as much as it can or there’s not enough heat being applied.
What’s the easiest way to get them to shrink?
This really depends on what you have available. A heat gun is ideal though a simple hair dryer will do the trick. We don’t encourage it for safety reasons but we do know (from experience we’re sorry to admit) that a naked flame from a lighter will do the job as well.
How to I cut it?
Scissors, Stanley knife, steak knife or any sharp implement will do the job.
