3M Scotch 23 Rubber Splicing Electrical Tape is a highly conformable, self-fusing EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) based, high voltage splicing tape. It is a non-vulcanizing, shelf-stable tape with excellent electrical properties. The tape can be used as an insulation for low-voltage application as well as an insulation for splices up to 69,000 volts.
The tape is rated up to 90°C continuous operating temperature with a short term emergency operating temperature of 130°C. Applications include primary insulation for splicing all solid dielectric cables up to 69 kV , moisture sealing electrical connections and jacketing on high voltage splices and terminations. Elongation is 1000%.
