3M GPH High Temperature VHB Tape is a high quality, industrial-grade double sided tape designed for permanent bonding and joining. It consists of a conformable foam core coated on both sides with a high strength acrylic adhesive.

Temperature Resistant Double-Sided Tape.

This tape has been designed for high temperature resistance and is able to withstand short-term exposure to temperatures as high as 230°C. This allows 3M GPH Tape to be used for joining and bonding parts that will be powder coated or undergo a liquid painting process.

Continuous operating temperature for 3M GPH VHB is 150°C.

Soft Foam Backing.

The grey foam used on 3M GPH Series Double Sided Tapes is soft and conformable. This ensures good stress relaxation and easy application. It also helps with establishing good surface contact between slightly misaligned or uneven surfaces; a prerequisite for high strength bonding.

GPH VHB Tapes foam backing has a density of 710kg/³.

Good Sealing Properties.

This quality mounting tape is often used for applications where it needs to both bond and seal. It excels in these situations thanks to the combination of high strength adhesion and good stress relaxation properties which enables it to withstand small amounts of joint movement whilst maintaining bond integrity.

The foam used on GPH VHB Tape is a closed cell type.

High Initial Tack.

The adhesive used on 3M GPH Tape is fast acting with high initial tack. This pressure-sensitive adhesive bonds on contact to provide immediate handling strength.

Compatible with a Variety of Materials.

3M VHB GPH Tape is used for bonding a wide range of different material types and surfaces. These include all kinds of metal, painted or coated metal, high and medium surfaces energy plastics (e.g. Polycarbonate, ABS, Acrylic) and many types of fibre reinforced materials.

One of the benefits of using a double-sided tape like this is its potential to replace mechanical fasteners (rivets, welding, screws) or liquid adhesives. This eliminates drilling, grinding, refinishing, screwing, welding, and clean-up and enables the joining of dissimilar materials.

Environmental Resistance.
