Our Easy-Mix PU-90 Polyurethane Adhesive is a professional-grade product used in numerous industries around the world. It offers a combination of extremely fast cure times, excellent material compatibility and strong adhesion.

Manufactured in Germany by Weicon, this adhesive is based on polyurethane. It is black in colour and is used to create strong, permanent bonds between all types of material. PU-90 (and it’s slightly slower-curing cousin PU-240) both offer a variety of benefits and features. Some of which include:

High Strength Bonding.

Easy-Mix PU-90 Adhesive creates very high strength bonds. In DIN 53283 standard testing, results achieved were comparable to professional-grade epoxies and MMAs. This is a adhesive for close fitting surfaces (max. gap bridging is 0.1mm to 0.4mm). Bonds created with PU-90 will be strong and permanent.

Fast.

One of the reasons that PU-90 is used all over the world is its cure speed. This Polyurethane Adhesive has excellent initial bonding strength. It instantly grips surfaces which allows it to be used on vertical bond jobs.

PU-90 got its name from its pot life which is just 90 seconds.  After 5 minutes, it will achieve 35% of its full cure strength. 10 minutes will see 50% and the capacity for bearing mechanical loads. Full cure is complete after 12 hours.

High Viscosity for Accurate Application.

Easy-Mix PU-90 is quite thick which offers several benefits. It can be applied to vertical surfaces (with instant adhesion) without dripping and is even suitable for use overhead. It is easy to apply accurately to complex bonding lines as it doesn’t run or drip.

Excellent Durability and Environmental Resistance.

PU-90 is highly resistant to weathering and is suitable for use indoors or outdoors. It is also permanently elastic with very good impact resistance.

PU-90 has good chemical resistance and is neutral to materials. Once fully cured, Easy-Mix PU-90 Polyurethane Adhesive will withstand temperatures between -55° and +125°C.

Good Flexibility Once Cured.

Once Easy-Mix PU-90 is fully cured it can be painted over or sanded. Since it’s a polyurethane, most liquid paints will bond to it making it a great choice for fast assembly work in the construction industry.

This adhesive also retains good elasticity and has excellent tensile and shear strength.

Easy to Use and Apply.

PU-90 is a two-part adhesive. Thanks to the Weicon Easy-Mix Dosing System, there’s no complex mixing, measuring or portioning. Application is quite simple.

Place the adhesive in a compatible dispensing gun (we suggest the Weicon D 50) and remove the lid. Attach the included Weicon Quadro Mixing Nozzle and dispense.

Reject the first 5 cm of the bead. Now, you’re ready to apply directly to the surface being bonded. The gun makes this easy and fast.
