Our Adhesive Neoprene Sponge Sheet is a hybrid product made by applying a quality, acrylic based adhesive to our Neoprene Sponge Rubber Sheet. The result is an easy to use, quality, closed cell sponge rubber sealing sheet with an adhesive backing for easier fitting and installation.
More information on the adhesive and the sponge sheet is included in the sections below:
When applying the adhesive backing to our Neoprene sponge, our adhesive of choice is a standard, double sided acrylic adhesive. This aggressive adhesive adheres to a wide range of materials, including: glass, plastic, paper, cloth, carboard (coated & uncoated) and various grades of sponge and foam (including Neoprene of course).
This adhesive is pH neutral and extremely thin at just 0.1mm (±10%). Its temperature range is roughly the same as the underlying Neoprene sponge it is being applied to: -20°C to +80°C. Adhesive force is 470gm/cm.
Our Neoprene Sponge Sheet is a versatile and economical type of rubber sponge that is used in a variety of industrial & commercial applications. This is a closed cell sponge rubber that creates a water-tight seal at low compression.
We are pleased to offer this quality sponge rubber sheet in a large selection of thicknesses. All have good thickness stability and are easy to work with and handle. Some of technical attributes of our Neoprene Sponge Sheet are included in the table below. More information on this, and the adhesive backing, is included on the specifications tab.

We’re sorry, no. This particular grade of Neoprene sponge sheet is just available in black.
Yes, there is. You can browse our range of Non-Adhesive Neoprene Sponge Sheet by clicking this link.
Sort of. All the standard available sizes are listed here on our site. That said, layers of different thicknesses can be laminated together with adhesive to create new thicknesses. We can arrange this if you’d like, just shoot us an email with what you’re after.
Sort of. There's no precise definition of sponge and foam that applies to it's very hard to tell. Our Neoprene Sponge Sheet could definitely be called Neoprene Foam as well, it really seems to be a matter of personal preference which one people go with.
Yes. If you would like us to quote on the supply of a specific shape or seal, please do contact us with the size and quantity you require. We'll get back to you with a quote quickly.
Neoprene Sponge can be cut using a standard stanley knife, carving knife or an electric knife.
Not compared to solid rubber, no. Of course, dead weight varies depending on thickness and sheet size but this can be easily calculated. If you multiply thickness x width x length (all in metres, so 2mm thick would be 0.002) and multiply the result by 160 (the density in kilograms per cubic metre) you'll get a close estimate.
As an example; a 480mm² sheet of 10mm Neoprene Sponge would weigh about 400 grams (0.01 x .48 x .48 x 160 = (about) 0.4 kg's).
