Our standard grade of PTFE Thread Seal Tape is a simple and easy to use solution for sealing threaded pipes and fittings.
Manufactured from PTFE, each toll is 12mm Wide and 10 Metres Long. It withstands a wide range of temperatures (-268°C and +260°C) and has excellent chemical resistance.
Like most threadseal tapes, our gas thread seal lubricates which allows for a deeper seating of the threads.
This helps to prevent them seizing when unscrewed. It works as a deformable filler and thread lubricant helping to seal the joint without hardening or making it more difficult to tighten.
Sometimes known as Teflon Tape, this standard grade of threadseal tape is not approved for gas or oxygen sealing. For those applications, we suggest our Thread Sealing Cord or PTFE Gas Thread Seal Tapes.
