Our Translucent Silicone Rubber Sheet is a high quality, industrial-grade silicone elastomer. Available in a selection of thicknesses, this rubber is suitable for use in a wide temperature range and has good electrical insulation properties.

Translucent, clear, semi-transparent; this rubber has a few different adjectives attached to it. We choose to stick with Translucent because (at least in our minds) it best captures the slightly cloudy nature of its appearance.
Our Translucent Silicone is manufactured in the United States using only FDA Approved Ingredients. If meets the requirements of FDA/CFR Title 21 CFR 177.2600 and is WRAS approved for potable water (up to 85°C).
It also meets the requirements of numerous other standards which are detailed more on the attached TDS and on the specifications tab.
This type of silicone rubber is a solid grade with a shore hardness of 40 Shore A. It is suitable for use in a variety of different gasket, washer and sealing applications. It is also resilient and has a minimum elongation of 625% and a tensile strength of 9 MPa.
Our Translucent Silicone can withstand temperatures between -60°C and +230°C as well as short-term spikes to 250°C.
This rubber also has excellent weather and UV resistance as well as very good dielectric and electrical insulation properties. It also withstands attack from many different types of chemicals and fluids. This includes good resistance to ozone, oxidation, ultraviolet light, corona, discharge, cosmic radiation, ionizing radiation.
