How to Use an Epoxy Repair Stick

Repair Sticks - Cut, Knead, Use

One of the best things about Weicon Repair Sticks is how quick and simple they are to use. It can basically be summarised as cut, knead and apply. That said, to achieve the best possible bond, cleaning the surface first is really important for making sure the repair stick bonds.

What can I do to make it stick better?

There’s a couple of things. First, make sure you’re using the best type of repair stick for the material you’re sticking too. After that, the two highest impact options are making sure that the surface you’re bonding to is clean and free of grease is very, very important.

Secondly, if the surface is quite smooth (e.g. polished metal) and you can, the bonding power of the repair stick will be improved if you can roughen the bonding surface a little (e.g. sand it). This increases the amount of surface area the repair stick has available to bond to resulting in greater adhesion.

Can it be painted?

Yes. Once fully cured Weicon Repair Sticks can be painted.
