Our Weicon Automatic Cable and Wire Stripper No. 7 Magic is a incredibly versatile, reliable and easy to use cable stripping tool. This stripper automatically adjusts to the cable size you’re working with and strips back just the insulation sheathing, leaving the conductor completely intact.

Our No.7 Magic Cable Stripper can be used with flexible, round cables between 0.5mm² and 16mm² (24 – 10 AWG) cross section and solid round cables between 0.5mm² and 10mm² (18 – 15 AWG).

This stripper is also able to handle flexible multi-core cables. Use once to strip back the outer layer of insulation, separate the individual wires, and use the same tool again to strip the insulation from these individual lines.

When you need to adjust the amount of insulation you remove, this is easy. The No. 7 Magic features an adjustable optical scale with 5 stops. It allows you to set a stripping range between 8mm and 24mm in length.

Also built into this high quality, German-made cable stripper is a handy side-cutter. Located safely away at the top of the handle, this can be used to cut cables up to 3mm Ø.

Depending on the size and type of cable you’re working with (and your own individual preference), it may be necessary to adjust the force of the trigger. Once again, the No. 7 makes this easy. A slider at the top of the tool allows for fast, easy adjustment.

This stripper can be used to strip cable ends or, since its’ barrel is open ended, to strip insulation for the middle of a length of cable. The video below shows both use cases.

This versatile, automatic cable and wire stripper is widely used in the automotive, marine, construction, maintenance and, of course, electrical industry all around the world. It is designed and manufactured in Germany using very high-quality steel from Solingen and fibreglass reinforced polyamide. The blades are replaceable but, given their quality and incredibly long service life, it’s very rare that it comes to this.
