Easy-Mix HT 180 High Temperature Epoxy Adhesive - 50ml

Our Easy-Mix HT 180 is a professional-grade, two-part epoxy adhesive. This grade is designed to withstand high temperatures which makes it suitable for bonding parts to be powder coated or components installed in higher temperature environments.

In addition to its excellent temperature resistance, Easy-Mix HT 180 has very good shock and impact resistance.

This quality glue is manufactured in Germany by Weicon and works with a wide range of materials. It cures at room temperature and has a long pot life (60 minutes). This extended work time, combined with its highly viscous nature, allows you to apply Easy Mix 180 very accurately on tricky or complex parts.

Easy-Mix HT 180 has a variety of features that have led to its use in all kinds of industrial, commercial and domestic applications around the world. These are covered more in the sections below:

High Temperature Resistant Epoxy.

One of the primary benefits of Easy-Mix HT is its high temperature resistance. Many epoxy glues can only withstand temperatures of about 130°C to 150°C. Easy-Mix HT 180 is different.

This glue is rated for continuous exposure to temperatures between -50°C and +180°C.

It can also handle short-term (about 60 minutes at a time) exposure to up to 230°C which allows it to withstand a powder-coating cycle without loss of bond strength.

All these temperature ratings are, of course, for the fully cured adhesive. While it is still curing it should not be exposed to more than 50°C.

Thick, Viscous Glue with an Extended Work Time.

Our Easy-Mix HT 180 has a thick, pasty consistency. This makes it highly suitable for applications as varied as filling cracks, gluing along narrow or complex bond lines and even situations where you may need to apply the adhesive on vertical or even overhead surfaces.

It also allows it to cover larger bonding gaps than many other epoxies. Easy-Mix HT 180 has a maximum gap bridging rating of 4mm. This makes it ideal for achieving a good, strong bond between parts that aren’t perfectly aligned.

Compatible with a Wide Range of Materials.

This industrial epoxy adhesive can be used with all kinds of different material types. It is compatible with:

• Composite materials such as Epoxy Fibreglass Sheet, Polyester Glass and Fibreglass Laminates.
• Wood.
• Stone, Brick and Concrete.
• Glass and Ceramics.
• Metals.
• Most Plastics (including PVC, Nylon, ABS and Polycarbonate).

Low surface energy plastics such as Polyethylene, Polypropylene and PTFE can be an issue and a test is recommended before trying to bond these at scale. Easy-Mix HT 180 is not suggested for bonding rubber.

Strong Epoxy Glue with High Adhesive Force.

Easy-Mix HT 180 is designed for strong, permanent bonding work. The amount of adhesive force achieved with depend on several factors including surface preparation (cleaning and roughening when possible are always recommended) and the materials used.

This industrial epoxy has been extensively tested. Below is a list of some of the median shear strength ratings (according to DIN EN 1465 standards) achieved with Easy-Mix 180.

Shock and Impact Resistance.

Manufactured from a special combination of epoxy resin and mineral fillers, Easy-Mix HT 180 has good resistance to shock and impact once it’s cured. This ensures that the high bond strength provided by this glue is maintained even when bonded parts are dropped, subjected to high force or vibration.

Easy-Mix Dosing System Removes Complex Mixing.

The Weicon Easy-Mix Dosing System eradicates complex mixing and measuring and makes getting the right amount of glue, where you need it, simple.

Simply slot the container of Easy-Mix HT-180 into a compatible dispensing pistol (we suggest the Weicon D 50) and attach the Helix Mixing Nozzle (one is included with each container). That’s it. When you pull the trigger the two parts that make up Easy-Mix HT 180 Epoxy Adhesive will be mixed as they travel along the nozzle so that, by the time they reach the surface, you have a single homogenous adhesive.
