Our Weicon Stainless Steel Spray (Bright) is similar in form and function to our standard Stainless Steel Spray with one main, important difference: the colour. This spray creates a brighter finish that is like treated stainless steel.

Otherwise, this high quality metal spray provides many of the same features and benefits as it’s matt finish cousin. These include:

Large Range of Use Areas.

Bright Stainless Steel Spray is suitable for use on surfaces indoors or outdoors. This spray is extremely weather resistant and very long lasting.

It is made with a combination of high purity stainless and aluminium pigments combined with an alkyd resin. It will stick well to all kinds of metal as well as wood, stone, glass, ceramic and most types of plastics.

Bright Stainless Steel Spray creates surfaces that are tough and long lasting. They are highly abrasion resistant and flexible enough to withstand the DIN EN ISO 1519 mandrel bend test without showing any signs of hair cracking.

Excellent Rust Protection & Corrosion Resistance.

One of the main applications for our stainless steel sprays is covering up rust (see our Rust Converter for a suggested pre-treatment) or preventing rust from forming in the first place.

In these applications, this spray excels as it has excellent corrosion resistance. Our Stainless Steel Spray Bright Grade has been tested in the DIN EN ISO 2409 Salt Spray Test where it achieved a solid result of >140 Hours. This test sees coated objects subjected to concentrated salt spray to simulate natural weathering.

A result of over 140 hours of protection ensures this spray will provides years and years of rust proofing and corrosion prevention.

The fact that is passed the aforementioned mandrel bend test helps with this as it ensures enough flexibility is maintained in the coating for it to protect against corrosion during metal expansion and contraction over time.

Fast, Simple and Easy to Use.

Packaged in convenient aerosol form, our Stainless Steel Spray is ideal for application to larger surface areas or irregular shaped objects where brush application would be tricky. The nozzles are specially designed to reduce the potential for clogging and the spray is easy to apply in good, consistent coats.

Coatings made with this bright stainless steel spray are dust dry after about 10 minutes and completely hardened after 10 hours. They can be painted over if needed.

Applications for Stainless Steel Spray Bright Grade.

Given all the similarities between them, it’s probably no surprise that this Bright Grade is typically used in much the same applications as our standard grade of Stainless Steel Spray. These include:
