Weicon VA 100 Universal Industrial Super Glue is an incredibly versatile adhesive designed for maximum surface material compatibility. This German engineered and manufactured cyanoacrylate adhesive bonds to metals, rubbers, glass, ceramic, leather and most plastics as well as wood, balsa wood and even EPDM rubber (which is notoriously difficult to bond to).

This all-around cyanoacrylate is widely used in everything from model making and DIY work to heavy duty industrial applications all around the world.

The sections below expand on the various features and capabilities of this professional quality super glue.

ISEGA Approved.

VA 100 has been approved for use in the foodstuffs sector by ISEGA.

Medium Viscosity Glue.

VA 100 Cyanoacrylate has a viscosity of 60 -120 mPa·s (at 20°C according to Brookfield). We classify this as a medium viscosity which means this glue isn't too runny but not really thick either. This allows it to be applied quite accurately to complex bond lines and slows the cure time a little.

Slightly Slower Cure.

VA 100 Super Glue has an slightly extended cure time which allows you a little time to accurately position the parts you are joining after you’re put on the glue.

Like most glues, cure time for VA 100 will vary depending on materials and the conditions you are bonding in. Maximum cure time will be around 60 seconds (bonding PVC in a cool area with low humidity). Usually it will be closer to 10-30 seconds.

Temperature & Environmental Resistance.

Once fully cured, Our VA 100 Glue will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures between -50°C and +80°C. It will also handle short-term spikes up to +100°C.

Squatting temperature is +150°C.

Where should I keep the container if I don’t use it all at once?

Cyanoacrylates are best kept refrigerated (especially in Australia). Make sure the lid is on tight (air tight in fact) and keep the pen in the fridge is our suggestion. That’ll extend the usable life significantly.

What should I do to prepare the surface before I glue it?

Definitely make sure the bonding surfaces and clean, free of grease and dry (our Surface Cleaner or Cleaner Spray S may be ideal for this). Super glue will stick to anything and even a little bit of loose dirt or dust can get in the way of the glue reaching the desired surfaces.

If at all practical, try and roughen smooth surfaces a little (a little bit of sand paper will often do the job) as this significantly increases the surface area available for the glue to stick to and therefore ensure stronger bonds.
