Our EPDM Rubber Sheet (Black, 60 Duro) is an industrial grade EPDM rubber widely used for sealing, lining, insulating and protecting applications. This type of rubber offers several advantages including good chemical resistance, excellent UV resistance and physical strength.

EPDM Rubber is often used for making gaskets, seals, washers and lining strips for chemicals. In these applications, its ability to withstand most acids and alkalis is of benefit. It also possesses very good resistance to hot water and steam and can handle temperatures between -30°C and +120°C.

This industrial grade EPDM Rubber is sulphur cured and black in colour. It has very good resistance to UV, sunlight and ozone which makes it ideal for long term outdoor environments. It is also suitable for long term exposure to aquatic applications and will not deteriorate in fresh or saltwater.

One area where EPDM struggles is with hydrocarbons, oils and fuels. It is attacked by these fluids. For sealing these, we usually suggest Nitrile Rubber.
