Neoprene Rubber Sheet is a versatile and economical grade of general purpose rubber. Sometimes known by its formal designation Chloroprene (CR), Neoprene Rubber was the first inorganic rubber compound and was developed specifically to compensate for Natural Rubber’s incompatibility with oils and fuels. Neoprene Rubber is ideal for sealing these kinds of fluids and offers good mechanical strength, general chemical compatibility and UV resistance.
Our Neoprene Rubber is an industrial grade product that is often used to make seals, gaskets and liners. Other popular uses for this versatile form of rubber sheet are listed below:
Neoprene sheet is a solid rubber that does not have any insertion / reinforcement. It has a listed durometer hardness of 60 Shore A (±5) which is the most common hardness for industrial rubber materials (though there are definitely others). Both sides of our Neoprene Rubber have a smooth surface finish. This material will handle temperatures anywhere between -20°C and +100°C and has good elongation properties (up to 300% before breaking).
Neoprene Rubber Sheet can be precisely cut and is able to seal oils, fuels and many other fluids. It also has very good resistance to flex cracking and all round flexibility. For more technical information, please see the specifications tab or the TDS located on the media tab.
Swift Supplies always carry stock of our Neoprene Rubber sheet and can even assist with special sized cut parts if that is what you require. Like with all of our products, if you would like to talk to us about a custom job or need any more information on our Neoprene rubber please do contact us. We're here to help.
This page lists our range of standard thicknesses of Neoprene Rubber Sheet. All are 1200mm wide and sold by the metre.
To buy, select the thickness you need and the number of metres. All orders up to and including 10 metres will be supplied in a single continuous length. Orders over this amount will be supplied in multiple lengths as a full roll is only 10 metres long (e.g. an order for 14 metres would be supplied as 1 x 10mtr & 1 x 4mtr).
In addition to this range of Neoprene sheet, our online store also has a wide range of Neoprene Rubber Strips as well as a selection of cut Neoprene rubber gaskets for common flange sizes. We are also able to provide custom cut sheets, gaskets & parts made from Neoprene. To enquire about a specific size, please do contact us.

It’s not standard but it can be arranged. Rubber strips or sheet can be supplied with a peel-off adhesive. If you’d like more information please send us an email with the size and quantity you’re after and we’ll arrange a quote. Please also let us know what you’d like it to stick to. There’s a couple of different adhesive types that can be used and we’d like to make sure we pick the best one for your needs.
There are but they will have slightly different properties. By far, the most common is black followed by white, which is usually a hygienic grade of Neoprene rubber used for sealing potable water or food grade applications. For the time being, we only offer the black as standard but we can arrange others on request.
You’ll be able to get through it with a Stanley knife. Two quick tips though:
Don’t try and cut through the thicker types in one go, cut layer upon layer. It’s far easier.
Also, don’t let the blade get too hot. A little water sprinkled on the blade from time to time can make life a lot easier if you’re cutting a significant length.
Almost all industrial super glues will work well for smaller sections, while adhesive sprays or contact adhesives can also work well for larger bonding jobs. In truth, most adhesives listed as working with rubber will work with Neoprene.
All that being said, there’s an excellent Weicon Adhesive Finder tool here that will be a great help. We swear by it.
We’ll always supply as long a roll as possible to give you maximum versatility (nothing worse than being just a little too short). Maximum roll length for all thicknesses listed here is 10 metres so if you ordered 8 of one size, it would be supplied in a single roll.
