Our Rewettable Fibreglass Insulation Lagging is used in a variety of different industries and areas. One of the most common is as a high temperature lagging material where it serves as either the primary insulation barrier, or as an outer layer to encase underlying insulation (such as fibreglass tape).
To make installation a little easier, we are pleased to offer this quality insulation cloth in pre-slit rolls. Each roll is 10 metres long and 150mm (6”) wide. They can help with reducing wastage and eliminate the need for you to cut your own “tape” from our Rewettable Cloth mother rolls (1500mm wide).
Apart from the fact they are supplied already slit, there’s no difference between these and our Rewettable Cloth. We slit the rolls ourselves using the very same cloth so you can be sure that both will provide the exact same levels of high insulation performance.
Our Rewettable Fibreglass Cloth Lagging is manufactured in the USA from a thin layer of plain weave fibreglass that is coated with a rewettable adhesive. Once wet by water it is activated and will harden upon drying. This makes it simple to wrap the wet cloth around pipes, other insulation or objects that need to be insulated and/or encapsulated.
Once the Rewettable Lagging is dry, it will harden and form a good, solid insulation barrier that will withstand temperatures to 540°C.
In addition to its excellent thermal properties, our Rewettable Fibreglass Cloth resists attack from most chemicals (exceptions are Hydrofluoric acid, hot phosphoric acid and wet hydrogen chloride) and solvents. It also has excellent sunlight and weathering resistance so it can be used outdoors.
Rewettable Heat Resistant Lagging is resistant to ageing and very long lasting. If you do need to remove it, simply wet the cloth again and it will begin to soften.
The high quality base cloth used in this product is certified in accordance with Milspec MIL-C-20079H & MIL-I-24244 as well as U.S. Coast Guard 164.009, NRC 1.36. The coating also meets the requirements of MIL-C-20079H, Typ1 1, Class 4. It exhibits high dielectric strength and low electrical constants.
