Our Blue Silicone Coated Fibreglass Tape is a high temperature, heat resistant thermal insulation tape with a variety of applications. This tape is made from a combination of premium quality fibreglass fabric that is coated on both sides with a blue, high temperature resistant silicone. The resulting product has excellent abrasion resistance, moisture resistance, chemical resistance and can handle temperatures up to 250°C.
This fibreglass insulation tape is non-adhesive. It is produced in the USA by Amatex using their premium grade fibreglass and a specialised silicone rubber coating.
We are pleased to offer this quality tape in a selection of widths and lengths. Blue is our standard colour for 6mm thick, similar tapes in other thicknesses are also available. Namely: Black (1.6mm) and Red (3.2mm).

Our Silicone Coated Glass Fabric Insulation Tapes are typically used for high temperature seals and gasket making or for wrapping, insulating and protecting cables, pipes, wires and hoses. In these applications, the tapes ability to withstand elevated temperatures is of extreme importance.
Our Silicone Coated Fibreglass Tapes will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 250°C as well as short-term, intermittent spikes as high as 300°C.

The resulting insulation tapes offer the tensile strength, insulation performance and durability of fibreglass which is enhanced by the silicone’s abrasion resistance, media compatibility and anti-fraying nature.
Our range of Silicone Coated Fibreglass Insulation Tapes all exhibit excellent resistance to wear, abrasion and tearing. Silicone Coated Fibreglass Tape also exhibits excellent resistance to most chemicals (including oils & greases).
One of the benefits of using a silicone coated grade of fibreglass is the enhanced ease or handling. These tapes and cloths can be easily cut and punched using standard knife blades and wad punches. The silicone coating also helps mitigate the fibreglass layer’s natural tendency to fray as well the “itchiness factor” experienced by many when handling fibreglass-based textiles.
